The accused along with the police party was caught with 500 grams of heroin.

Taking action in the city of Ludhiana, Punjab, the STF has arrested a drug smuggler with 500 grams of heroin. The STF had received information that the arrested Mani Sood was involved in heroin smuggling for a long time.

A case of drug smuggling has been registered against the accused earlier as well. It was received that the accused was going from his house Mohalla Labor Colony Jamalpur to supply on a motor cycle from the wide road along the HIG Colony Jamalpur near Vishwanath Mandir Metro Road. It was revealed that the accused was in possession of a huge quantity of narcotics. Police stopped the accused for checking near HIG Colony Jamalpur.

With the help of SI Gurcharan Singh police station Moti Nagar, when the accused was stopped and searched, 500 grams of heroin of the team was recovered from his possession. When the police interrogated the accused, the accused told that he is involved in drug smuggling for the last 5 years. Mani told that he is a vegetable seller and used to smuggle drugs under the guise of selling vegetables. Money itself is also addicted to drugs. He used to pay for the drug by selling heroin. Police have registered a case against the accused. Remand is being taken by presenting them in the court to nab the accomplices of the accused.
