An unidentified woman’s body was found in a pit made near a chimney from Nanpur police station area of Sitamarhi district. The said incident is between Kohli and Bhadian village of police station area. Where some children of the village had gone to lay snails in the pit after the rain. During this, the eyes of the children fell on the body floating in the water. Whose information was given to their parents.
On getting information about the incident, hundreds of villagers gathered at the spot. The same was informed to the local police station by the villagers. On receiving the information, Nanpur police station reached the spot and with the help of the villagers pulled out the dead body lying in the bush on the banks of the water filled pit. After hours of effort, the body was not identified and was taken into custody by the police and sent to Sitamarhi Sadar Hospital for identification and post-mortem. The age of the woman is said to be around 35 years. The woman is wearing a blue colored sari.
Regarding the said case, Surya Narayan Paswan, Inspector of Nanpur police station said that, it seems that the said woman has been murdered somewhere else and thrown into the pit to hide the evidence. At the same time, the police have also recovered some clothes and makeup items of the said woman from near the dead body. Regarding the incident, SHO Ram Vinay Paswan said that the body has been kept in Sitamarhi Sadar Hospital for identification. At the same time, the police is engaged in the investigation of the case.
