Monsoon may arrive in Madhya Pradesh after three days. On Sunday, the highest temperature was recorded in Gwalior at 44 degrees, but the clouds gave relief from the heat in Bhopal and Indore. According to meteorologist PK Saha, the temperature will increase due to cloud cover on Monday, but it will also form a local system and some cities including Indore, Bhopal, Ujjain, Narmadapuram may receive showers till Monday evening.

Last year, the entry of monsoon took place simultaneously from both the branches of Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal. This time the Bay of Bengal branch was not very active. Pre-monsoon activity is more intense in Khandwa and Malwa-Nimar regions due to the Arabian Sea branch being active. So it’s raining well there.

High temperature in these areas

Apart from Gwalior, the temperature in some cities was recorded above 40. The temperature in Khajuraho, Narsinghpur, Naugaon, Satna and Umaria remained above 40 degree Celsius.

Monsoon has reached Madhya Maharashtra including Mumbai, Pune

Monsoon can take entry from Indore division through Arabian Sea branch in Madhya Pradesh. Meteorologists predict that the Bay of Bengal branch of monsoon has not become active, while the Arabian Sea branch is active. Therefore, monsoon can reach Madhya Pradesh around June 15 or 16. In the last 24 hours, 50% of the state was soaked with pre-monsoon showers.
