The police of Chatra district has got a big success. On the basis of secret information, Pratappur police station of the district has arrested Maoist Rakesh Paswan from Dev block of Aurangabad district of Bihar. Jharkhand Police took this action with the help of Bihar Police. A case was registered against the arrested Rakesh Paswan in Pratappur police station. A warrant was issued against the accused by the court.

It is alleged that the Maoists blasted the landmine on the road of Satbahini-Adauria. Apart from this, Ken bombs were planted in places. Police said that Chatra Superintendent of Police Rakesh Ranjan had received information that the accused was hiding in Bihar. After this, a team was formed under the leadership of Satyavan Kubhankar and sent to Bihar.

The team carried out a raid operation in collaboration with the police of Dev area. During this, accused Rakesh Paswan was arrested from his house. The team has reached Pratappur with the accused. After medical examination, the accused has been sent to Chatra Jail in judicial custody.
