People of Muslim society handing over the memorandum to the SDM.
Muslim society demonstrated in seven phases of Mohali demanding the arrest of former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal for making controversial remarks against Prophet Mohammad. Under the leadership of Dr. Anwar Hussain, a member of the Punjab Government’s Muslim Development Board, the SDM of Mohali handed over a demand letter to the President, demanding strict action against Nupur Sharma for making remarks against Prophet Mohammad.
The Muslim society said that if strict action is not taken against both, then there will be a large-scale demonstration. Both the leaders have given this statement on the behest of their senior leaders. Till date no leader has ever given a statement against Prophet Mohammad. His religious sentiments have been hurt by the controversial remarks. On this occasion, the Muslim society also performed a peaceful demonstration on the light of Phase 7.
Let us inform that after the controversial remarks of Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal, BJP had expelled both of them from the party. After this both of them expressed regret over their remarks, but the Muslim society was not satisfied with it.
