In the case of robbery of one crore rupees from a property dealer in Derabassi, Mohali police has caught three robbers in 72 hours. Rs 68 lakh of loot has been recovered from their possession. Mohali SSP Vivek Sheel Soni has given information in this regard. On June 10, this robbery was done from builder Harjit Nagpal. The robbers shot a fruit vendor on the forehead and injured him too. The police had registered a case of attempt to murder, robbery, criminal conspiracy and under Arms Act at Derabassi police station. A team of CIA staff was also engaged to solve the case.

The police have originally arrested Ranjodh Singh (33) of Jhandian Kalan village of Ferozepur, Punjab, in the case and have taken his five-day remand. At present he was living in a society in Zirakpur. After his revelations, the police recovered Rs 28 lakh of loot from Panta Homes, Zirakpur. Apart from this, the police arrested Maninder Jeet Singh (25) of Badala village in Amritsar by the CIA staff from Jandiala Guru. On the basis of his interrogation, the police recovered Rs 40 lakh. Apart from him, Saurav Sharma (22) of Gohana has been arrested. A total of Rs 68 lakh has been recovered from them. At the same time, a car of Honda City numbered Delhi has also been recovered. The police will now present Maninder and Saurav in court and take their remand so that more revelations can be made.

Fruit Wale showed bravery but became a victim of bullet

On Friday, after entering his office in broad daylight, a bag containing one crore rupees was robbed at the gun point. On the shouts of Nagpal, Mohammad Shabbir (37) of Gulabgarh, a fruit vendor on the road, ran after the robbers. He surrounded the two robbers. Finding himself trapped, a robber shot Mohammad Shabbir on the forehead. After this the robbers fled after snatching the bike of a youth named Govinda. He had come to buy fruits in the market.
