Ujjain, Ujjain SSP suspended four policemen for betting going on in connivance with the police. In fact, four days ago, the Crime Branch had raided three betting bases in the Tarana police station area. On getting the bet worth thousands of rupees, after investigation, it was found that four policemen, including the SI, were also involved in running the betting. Due to which action was taken against all four.
In Tarana, the police had taken action regarding betting. Despite this, betting was going on openly at three places. On June 8, Crime Branch DSP Vinod Kumar Meena raided three places and caught 11 people and recovered about Rs 71 thousand. In the whole case, when the mobile CDRs of the accused were taken out, it was found that the speculation was going on in connivance of SI Tribhuvan Kushwaha, ASI Lokendrasinh Jadaun, constable Anil Yadav and Damodar Sharma. After which SSP Shukla suspended the four on Sunday afternoon.
