According to the information received, the ST was forced to stay at Saputara after reports of water receding on the bridges following a landslide on the national highway in Dang district due to heavy rains. The passengers were in trouble. However, following the instructions of Transport Minister Purnesh Modi, Jite helped the BJP workers in the district by keeping in view the appeal of every BJP worker to reach out to the stranded tourists.

According to the inquiry, Dang BJP general secretary Hariram Sawant along with his team arranged free meals at the Saputara bus stop for 130 passengers entering the state of Gujarat from the state of Maharashtra. Coordinating with the Tantra, he arranged for them to stay at the Gujarat Tourism Corporation’s hotel until the road was opened and spread the fragrance of humanity. It took till noon the next day to remove the cliff lying in Saputara Ghatmarg. All the ST passengers expressed their heartfelt gratitude for Purnesh Modi’s generosity.
