Lumpy virus has infected thousands of cows in Rajkot city and caused hundreds of deaths. Instead of admitting this, the system is just hiding the dead bodies. An examination of dead bodies in Lumpi revealed that for the first time in the history of the city, an 8-hour waiting period is given from the MPA call center to pick up the dead bodies of cows, but the dead bodies come in two days!

Divya Bhaskar, after hearing that there have been dead bodies of cows lying in Rajkot cowsheds for two days and no one is coming despite calling, became a citizen and called the Manapa department for picking up dead animals to investigate. There was continuous waiting for 3 times when the phone rang, the location of the dead cow was given and asked, when will you come? So the answer was, ֲ’can’t be given time, there is a lot of waiting now! Insisting on time, got a reply that it will come by 12 midnight!’ That is 8 hours time was given.

Actually the system does not come even in this time. Cows died two days ago in Karuna Gaushala on 80 feet road and after continuous calls, 5 cows were taken to Manpa’s solid waste branch on Saturday evening. There are still dead bodies of 8 cows in the gaushala near Kalipat. They have also refused to call the laborers who were coming to pick up the dead bodies of cows from there, so now the situation is getting worse. The conservancy department used to receive 8 calls every day, but on Saturday, 66 complaints have come to pick up dead bodies in a single day. Apart from this, most of the number of gaushalas keep their own laborers for disposal of dead bodies, so the number never comes in the books of the municipality, the number is also many times higher.

This is the reason for the worsening situation in disposal of dead bodies…
In an attempt to hide the corpses, the laborers leave the work and bury the hides along with the dead bodies of Lumpy.
Manpa has also declared a dumping site at Sokhda and Maliasan villages in Rajkot, where labor families have been living for centuries and whose hereditary job is to dispose of dead animals from the city. These labor families bring to the site the carcasses of animals from different large cowsheds and stables, as well as those that die in any way in the city. They skin the carcasses and expose them to animals such as vultures and dogs for food, then collect and sell the bones that grow. He has no other occupation except this hereditary one. Even the hides of lumpy cows are not used, they still take the animals from the gaushala, but some people from Maliasan and Sokhda have circulated a video of the animals being disposed of illegally. So the team reached with JCB and buried the bodies along with the bones and skins collected by the laborers and their jobs were taken away after the Manpa was ordered to cover up the bodies. Due to this, they have stopped the work of picking up the dead bodies.

This is the reason for the increase in death due to lumpy
Only two animal ambulances for the city, the disease worsened for a month and a half but did not pay attention to treatment

The first case of lumpy virus was reported in Rajkot a month and a half ago. However, the system did not take care. Vaccines were promised but planning was not solid. There are thousands of animals in Rajkot city, but there were only two animal ambulances for them and only two veterinary doctors for the entire Rajkot city and taluka, due to which treatment and vaccination were not done on time and the death rate is increasing due to the spread of infection.

Dead bodies were thrown out of the truck and buried
The rulers had said that dead bodies would be buried in Sokhda in an orderly and dignified manner, but the reality is different. As Bhaskar returns to the spot, truckloads of dead bodies come one after another, throw the cows into pits and then bury them with mud and no salt.
