A cloudburst has occurred near Amarnath cave in Jammu and Kashmir. Five people are said to have been killed in the crash, while several others have been injured. The Amarnath pilgrimage is currently suspended.
About two km from Amarnath Yatra. At a distance of 5.30 pm, a cloud burst and water came down. Five people have been killed and several others are reported missing.
After heavy rains, a huge amount of water suddenly flowed down from above and about 25 tents and two anchors were flooded. All concerned agencies including NDRF, SDRF are trying to evacuate the passengers safely at the spot. The death toll could rise.
