- Three Snatchers Nabbed, 8 Gold Chains, 7 Gold Earrings Recovered, One Of The Arrested Accused Is A Professional Criminal

In Jalandhar, Punjab, the police have busted the snatching gang. The police have nabbed the three-member gang. All of them are residents of Kapurthala and one of them is a professional criminal who has already been booked under theft, snatching, excise and NDPS. The police also recovered looted ornaments from the criminals.
DCP Jaskiran Singh Teja told that the team of CIA’s Special Operations Unit Jalandhar was on checking. When the team was present at Patel Chowk, they got a tip-off that Inderjit Singh alias Binder, Grover Colony Kapurthala and Pargat Singh resident Ajit Nagar Kapurthala, who were riding on motorcycle number PHO8-2-7632, were coming to Jalandhar.
He does snatching with women. They snatch gold chains from women’s necks and earrings from their ears. They have carried out incidents in different areas in Jalandhar city. The informer said that Inderjit and Pargat were on their way from Kapurthala Chowk to Mitha Bazar to sell snatched chains, earrings and other jewellery.
After getting the information, the police party swung into action with immediate effect. The police laid their net in Mittha Bazar and caught both the accused Inderjit and Pargat. After apprehending both of them, when the police searched them there, a mobile phone, 8 gold chains and 7 gold earrings and a motorcycle were recovered from their possession.
After this, when the police took them to the police station and questioned them strictly, they told that their main kingpin is Yashwant, a resident of Kapurthala. The police have also arrested Yashwant. Yashwant alias Mast is a professional criminal, against whom cases of theft, robbery, snatching, liquor smuggling and drug smuggling are registered in various police stations. All three have confessed to sixteen incidents in the city, in which they did snatching.
