Mumbai: The number of accidents involving vehicles skidding on the road constructed in Gorai just a month ago has increased, in which the Mumbai Municipal Corporation’s own vehicle skidded on Monday. Local residents did not take the administration seriously even after complaining several times. Finally the local residents held a meeting on Monday to find a solution to this slippery road.
A month ago, the municipality had made connected road mastic asphalt at Gorai Jetty and T junction. The two-km-long road was opened only a month ago, but the number of vehicle skids on it has increased since the new road was constructed. Local residents complained about it several times, but no action was taken at the local level. On Monday, the municipality’s own vehicle skidded on this road. The local residents got fed up and finally wrote a letter to Municipal Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal to reduce the matter. Now the municipal administration has decided to rough the upper level of this road. Godfrey Pimenta, founder of Watch Dog Foundation, told ‘Mumbai Samachar’ that he had complained to the municipality several times about the slippery nature of the newly constructed road, but it was ignored. , Tempo has also skidded on this road. The municipal commissioner finally wrote a letter in this regard. So on Monday local residents also held a meeting on this issue today. A
