An accident took place last night when a tanker full of edible oil collided with a moving truck near the Ghodakhal river bridge near Rojam village of Dahod taluka. In which the driver of the tanker was trapped between the truck and his tanker and at the same time the tanker caught fire and the driver also died on the spot as he was engulfed in flames.
A tanker going from Kandla to Dewas collided with a truck ahead
A tanker loaded with edible oil was passing from Kandla in Gujarat to Dewas in Madhya Pradesh on the Ghodakhal river bridge near Jekot in Dahod taluka last night. At that time, an accident occurred when an edible oil tanker collided with a truck moving ahead.
The tanker driver escaped alive
In this accident, the driver of the tanker Hanumanbhai was trapped between the tanker and the truck. Then Hanumanbhai was engulfed in flames as the tanker caught fire. So they were spoiled.
Police and fire brigade rushed
After the fire incident was reported to the local police, the local police fleet also reached the spot immediately. A team of fire fighters also rushed to the spot with water bombs and doused the fire heavily, but by then Hanumanbhai, the driver of the edible oil tanker, had succumbed to the flames.
Crowds of locals gathered, blocking the road from both sides
During the night, following this fire, local people also rushed and crowds also gathered at the place. Local police were forced to close the highway in both directions as part of safety and security measures.
The truck driver left the vehicle and ran away
After the accident, the driver of the tanker was engulfed in flames and burnt to death, while the driver of the truck left the truck and escaped from the accident site. At that time, Dahod Rural Police attempted to file a case related to the accident.
