From Malnath to Talaja-Nana Bhikada, the woman was sleeping in a house without a door. When a leopard entered the house and injured the woman on the head, the woman was shifted to the government hospital for treatment in the morning. After which the leopard was caught from a small hole. It happened between 10 and 11 pm on July 26. For which the forest officials were sitting 500 to 700 meters away from the cage.
Officials of Talaja, Bhavnagar along with Ghogha were also present when the leopard was caught. If there is an animal like a lion or a tiger to catch the leopard, it can be easily identified, but for the last one and a half to two months, we have been sitting on a continuous night watch to catch the leopard.
The cage used for catching leopards has a different system in which the cage stops with a loud noise when the leg of the targetted leopard falls on the last step. Currently the leopard is kept at Wadal Animal Care Center from Palitana which will be sent to Sakkarbagh as it was injured by a human. After two months, the panther, who was feared by the people, died in the cage
