City Primary Education Committee (AMC School Board) The teachers and principals of the city’s schools sent jog letters. As a precautionary measure it was decided to close school colleges. Messages for this were also sent to parents and students.
Heavy rains lashed the western and south-western zones of the city, including Paldi, Usmanpura, Jodhpur, Vejalpur and Bopal. The situation was similar in other parts of the city due to rains. The situation was dire in the river crossing area of the city. Which made it difficult for people to get out of the house. Heavy rains disrupted life in many areas. In addition, the vehicles were also stopped due to flooding. In some places, it is difficult for vehicles to stop due to water intrusion and overflow in the parking lot. In such a situation, it is difficult for students to reach school-college in the morning. In view of this situation, it has been decided to close schools and colleges in the city.
In the evening a meeting was held by the municipal machinery
A meeting was held by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation in the presence of Commissioner Lochan Singh Shehra regarding the heavy rains. In which the condition of the city was reviewed by the officers and office bearers of AMC. During the meeting, steps were taken to alleviate the difficult situation in the city. Parents and students also started getting messages from schools and colleges in the city that schools were closed on Monday.
The decision to close the city’s AMC-run schools was announced via social media in a letter written by the city’s primary education committee. The letter was sent to school principals and teachers.
