In 2022, T-20 World Cup is going to be held on the soil of Australia. 14 teams including India had already entered for the World Cup. Now Netherlands and Zimbabwe have also secured their place in the T20 World Cup 2022 by reaching the final of the qualifier tournament.
America-Papua New Guinea hopes dashed
The hosts defeated Papua New Guinea by 27 runs in the first semi-final of this qualifier tournament being played in Zimbabwe. Batting first, Zimbabwe scored 199 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs, in response to which the Papua New Guinea team could only score 172 runs for 8 wickets.

In the second semi-final, the Netherlands prevented the USA from qualifying for the ICC tournament for the first time. The American team could score only 138 runs while the Netherlands achieved this target by losing 3 wickets in 19 overs. Thus, the Netherlands has also finalized the ticket for the World Cup.
It may be noted that the World Cup 2022 will be held in Australia from October 16 to November 13. India will play its first match against Pakistan on October 23.
