GAYA: The Gaya district administration has set a target of registering 60,000 pregnant women on the WONDER App by the end of August this year. The WONDER App has been launched in the district with an aim to monitor and minimise complications in maternal health and reduce maternal mortality rate as well.
DM Thiyagarajan SM on Saturday issued directions to prepare a work plan to achieve the target for registration of pregnant women on the app. He asked health officials concerned to increase number of institutional deliveries in the community health centres (CHCs).
The DM said CDPOs and the block medical officer in-charges would have to work in coordination for the purpose. Action would be taken against in-charge of the CHCs having poor performance to boost institutional deliveries, he said.
“ANMs have already been imparted training to prepare a database of pregnant women and upload the information regarding their health status on the app, so that when needed, immediate and timely medical assistance could be provided to them,” he said. The ANMs would also fill up the forms of the women for benefit under Prime Minister Matritva Vandana Schemehe added.
“A weekly camp will be organised in each panchayat to ensure registration of the pregnant women. ANMs and their assistants will mobilise women and help them reach upto the camp,” the DM said.
