Attack on woman office bearer of minority wing of BJP in Mira Road

Bhayander: Two bike-riding youths allegedly attacked Sultana Khan, a woman office bearer of BJP’s minority wing, and escaped in Mira Road. Police say that after the assailants broke the window of the car, they attacked Sultana with a sharp weapon and injured her hand.
Nayanagar Police Station Inspector Jilani Syed said that the incident took place on Sunday night. Sultana Khan’s statement could not be recorded immediately as she was scared after the attack. A case will be registered after recording Sultana’s statement. The footage of the CCTV cameras surrounding the incident is being scrutinized to identify the attackers.
According to information, Sultana left for a political meeting on Sunday night in a car with her husband Sameer Khan. Sameer was driving the car. Both of them were going to Deepak Hospital from the back road in Mira Road when two young bikers rammed their car. Two youths wearing masks broke the glass of the front door of the car. Later, after attacking Sultana with a sharp weapon and allegedly threatening Sultana, both the assailants escaped.
Sultana’s hand was injured in this attack. Nayanagar police reached the spot and the hospital after getting information about the incident. Sultana was discharged after primary treatment at the hospital. A
