Ludhiana Central Jail.

Fights, fights and gang wars happen every day in Punjab’s Ludhiana jail. Of course, Jail Minister Harjot Bains makes tall claims that now jails are not safe houses for gangsters or criminals, but nothing is being done at the ground level.

In the Central Jail late on Tuesday night, two locksmiths got into a fight over some issue. The quarrel also happened such that the quarrel took a bloody form. Suddenly one of the hawalas attacked the other hawala with a sharp object.

One hawker’s nose was cut off in the attack. He was immediately brought from the jail to the Civil Hospital in Ludhiana in an ambulance after he suffered a serious injury to his nose. The injured was treated in the hospital, after which he was sent back to the jail.

The locksmiths who quarreled have been identified as Suraj and Karan. Both the barracks are close by. Today, when Karan started going to his barracks, suddenly he got into a fight with Suraj over some issue. So Suraj attacked Karan with a sharp object.

Let us tell you that Karan’s nose was cut in the attack. Karan bled in jail itself. The dispute was immediately reported to the jail administration. Jail administration took the injured to Civil Hospital Ludhiana. Please tell that Ludhiana Jail is no longer one of the safe jails.

Recently, some people beat up the accused Satbir in the Siddu Moosewala case in jail. After that accident, the jail administration shifted all the accused lodged in the Ludhiana jail of Moosewala case to Goindwal jail.

Having such fights in the jail itself is a big question on the jail administration. At the same time, there is a big question on the vigilance of the employees who give duty around the barracks.
