At Porbandar, raids were conducted at various places in the city by the Task Force on the Elimination of Child Labour. In which a child working in Khodiyar Hotel adjacent to Bhaveshwar temple was released. Also, legal action was taken against the lorry holder who saw the youth working in the Chinese lorry in the bus stand area.

Also, an appeal was made by the Labor Commissioner’s office not to employ children in hotels, shops, restaurants and industries of Porbandar district. Assistant Labor Commissioner BM Patel, Government Labor Officer MM Chudasama, Shop Inspector P. D. Sheyal, Y. N. Narera, Police Sub Inspector N. D. Vanja and other officials were present on this occasion. Along with the raids by the force, a campaign was carried out to eliminate child labor in hotels, shops, restaurants, industries.
