Rahul Gandhi tweeted that the debt of the Indian government, which was Rs 56 lakh crore in 2014, has reached Rs 139 lakh crore in 2022. “If we talk about per capita loans which were 44,348 in 2014, it has reached Rs 1,01,048 by 2022,” he said. While presenting the unemployment figures, he said that the unemployment rate was 4.7 per cent in 2014, which has risen to 7.8 per cent in 2022.

Along with all these, Rahul Gandhi has also mentioned gas cylinders, trade deficit and devaluation of rupee against dollar. He tweeted that the rupee was valued at Rs 59 against the dollar in 2014, which has risen to Rs 80 in 2022. The price of a cylinder which was Rs 410 in 2014 has gone up to Rs 1,053 by the year 2022. He added that the trade deficit was 13 135 billion in 2014, rising to 190 190 billion in 2022.
