The Personnel Department of the Government of Rajasthan released the transfer list of IPS officers late in the evening. In this, Anil Kumar, who was posted as Superintendent of Police in Jaipur Civil Rights and Anti Human Trafficking, has been made the new SP of Pratapgarh. While Pratapgarh SP Dr. Amrita Chauhan has been posted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, Jodhpur City (East). Anil Kumar told in a conversation with Dainik Bhaskar that in the next two or three days he would reach Pratapgarh and take charge.
Local priorities will be decided after assuming the responsibility with the routine priority of Rajasthan Police. Anil Kumar is a 2014 batch IPS officer. Even before this, he had served as SP in Pratapgarh for 6 months from January 10, 2019 to July 6, 2019. Apart from this, he has also served as SP in Dausa and Karauli. Between 2020 and 2021, he was also the SP of Anti Corruption Bureau in Kota.
It is worth mentioning that SP Amrita has played an important role in maintaining law and order in the district. During this tenure of about 8 months, the SP has run a special campaign in the district regarding illegal weapons, in which many accused have been sent behind the bars of lock-up.
SP Amrita has also opened up on incidents like gang rape in an important way. From time to time, to maintain peace and order, SP Amrita should also come among the people of the district including the city and she has also appealed. Due to SP Amrita, procession festivals have been celebrated peacefully in the district, there has not been any kind of law and order disturbance anywhere. When the list of his transfer came, people said that this is the best SP of our district, many illegal activities have been stopped by him.
