ED issues summons to former Mumbai police commissioner

Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjay Pandey’s troubles could escalate. The ED has summoned him. He has been summoned for questioning in a money laundering case. He has been asked to appear before the ED on July 5. It may be noted that Sanjay Pandey has just retired from the police service three days ago. He has been summoned in a money laundering case related to NSE. Sanjay Pandey’s IT audit firm was awarded the contract for the NSE server and system. The case was earlier investigated by the CBI, now the ED is investigating. That is why the ED has sent a notice to Sanjay Pandey to inquire into the matter. Sanjay Pandey resigned from the police service in 2001. He then set up an IT audit firm. When his resignation was not accepted, he rejoined the police service and made his son and mother directors at the firm.
