Eight masked robbers have been carried out in Bank Colony in Dunduria of urban area of Gumla district at around 2.30 pm on Sunday night. The criminals arrested former professor of Karthik Oraon College, Nand Kumar Keshari and his wife Prof. Raid Seema’s house. All the members of the family were taken hostage and looted jewelery worth seven lakh rupees and 40 thousand rupees. After that they fled. After the incident, the people of the area along with the victim’s family are in panic. After the information, the Sadar police station reached the spot. The investigation has been started in the matter. The CCTV footage installed around the spot is being scrutinized to reach the robbers.
The victim, Professor Nand Kumar Keshari, complained about the incident. Daily newspaper Told that like every day, there were three family members at home on Sunday night. Apart from him, wife Professor Dr. Seema and his 90-year-old old mother Ramdulari were present. After having dinner at around 10 pm, the family members went to sleep in their respective rooms. He himself was sleeping in the ground floor room. The old mother was in the room next to him. Wife Dr. Seema was sleeping on the first table. Around 2.30 pm, eight masked robbers came to his house. The robbers easily broke the lock of the two iron gates that entered the house. After this they started trying to break the third door. In this he did not succeed. After this the robbers uprooted the window grill on the left side of the house.
Then one by one they entered inside the room. The family members were sleeping soundly. During this time all the robbers first reached their room and closed their mouth with their hands. During this they tried to scream. On this his throat was slit. Told to get up from the bed calmly. After this, as soon as he got up from the bed, the robbers tied both their hands from behind and inquired about all the members present inside the house. After this the robbers took him to his mother’s room. Then cut off the jewelery present in both hands of his mother. Then robbed the ear earrings and gold necklace from the neck. After this the robbers took them to the fast floor room.
Then the wife’s room was opened by getting her voice. After this, all the members of the family were gathered at one place and tied their hands and feet from behind. After this the robbers asked for the keys of Godrej from them. Then robbed four mobiles by taking out 40 thousand cash kept in a bag inside Godrej. After this, the door was locked from outside and escaped. After the robbers escaped, the wife Doctor Seema somehow first opened the rope of her hand. After this, the husband and mother-in-law opened the rope. Then came out of the house and reported the incident to his brother Vinay Kumar Keshari living in the neighborhood. Vinay dialed 100 from his mobile and informed the police about the incident.
As soon as the information was received, Sadar police station in-charge Manoj Kumar reached the spot on Monday morning at around 4 o’clock with the team force. Took information about the whole incident. Also saw each and every aspect with detail. After this, to reach the robbers, they started scrutinizing the surrounding CCTV footage. During this, the station in-charge assured to arrest the robbers.
Professor Nand Kumar Keshari told that the robbers stayed at his house for about 45 minutes. During this time he was in panic because of some untoward incident. However, during this the robbers told him not to do anything by calling him mother, sister uncle. He did a reconnaissance of the jewellery. Professor Nand told that the age of all the robbers was around 30 to 35 years. They were wearing half pants and shirt and T-shirt. They did not seem to be local from their speech. He himself was drinking water after taking out water from the fridge.
He had a wooden stick in his hands. Due to darkness and fear, he could not pay much attention to them. Could not see the weapon. As soon as the information of the incident reached the relatives and well-wishers in Professor Nand. Everyone ran to his house. Then took information about the whole incident. Condemning the incident, the police administration demanded to arrest the robbers immediately.

No vehicle comes early on such a night in this street. Probably the incident of robbery could be attributed to a four wheeler. It would have been done by the people who arrived.
