Elections for the presidency of Sri Lanka will be held on this day

The situation in Sri Lanka, which is grappling with the economic crisis, is deteriorating day by day. From the road to the Rashtrapati Bhavan, protesters are on all sides. People are facing difficulties for basic amenities like petrol, electricity and food. The people have lost their patience, the loss of which is now being borne by the leaders. Sri Lanka’s Rashtrapati Bhavan was seized by protesters on July 9, and people are no longer ready to leave. People are saying that the Rashtrapati Bhavan will remain in their possession till Gotabaya Rajapaksa resigns from the presidency. The army is deployed all over the country. Amid the economic crisis in Sri Lanka, the announcement of a new presidential election has now been missed. Candidates for the presidency can be filed till July 18, while voting will take place on July 20.
