The state government has given a big gift to the first Jyotirlinga Somnath Theerth on the first day of Shravan month. 33 seater KPCT and 2 electric AC luxury buses have been provided by State Government Transport Corporation for 15 km area of Jodia Nagar of Somnath Tirth. Launching this bus service yesterday, it has been plying on a 15 km route in Jodia city. This bus service is planned to run on Jodia city routes from 6 am to 7 pm so that tourists coming from Somnath can also benefit from this bus service.

Our country is leading the world in green energy today. This approach is also being implemented in the world famous Somnath Tirtha. In which 2 state-of-the-art electric AC buses have been allotted by the state government unit GSRTC for Yatradham Nagri. So, District Police Superintendent Manoharsingh Jadeja, Somnath Secretary Yogendra Desai, Vijay Singh Chavda, ST Director G.O.Shah and others gave a green signal to depart from Gita Mandir and inspected the journey of the bus.

According to ST Director OG Shah on the occasion, these two electric advanced buses are scheduled to run from Veraval to Somnath and other places of worship in Prabhas Tirtha like Bhalka, Bhidiya, Birla Mandir Chopati, Geeta Mandir, Saibaba from 6am to 7pm. is There will be three types of fare for traveling in this bus namely Rs.16, 19 and 24. These buses use state-of-the-art technology that makes the bus safe and green for the environment. Both the buses are powered by 100% electric energy. Because of this, it will help in preserving the environment by not polluting the environment by vehicle smoke every day.

It is to be noted here that since CT bus service has been stopped in Veraval-Somnath Jodia town for a long time, tourists coming from far away along with locals had to pay high fares to go to Somnath with great inconvenience. Every year millions of tourists come to Somnath to have a darshan of Devadhidev Mahadev at the beginning of the month of Shravan. At that time, ST Corporation of the state has started the transportation service by allocating two electric buses with the approach to provide better facilities to the religious tourists coming to the pilgrimage Jodia Nagri. Experts are hoping that this service will boost the local tourism industry.
