On Friday morning, 50 devotees from Rupal, Rampura, Ghorwada and Nawa villages set out on foot for the Ramdevada Padayatra with a chariot and 35 Nejas from Rupal village of Himmatnagar taluk of Sabarkantha district. The union on foot will cover a distance of 650 km in 11 days and reach Ramdevda.

People of Rupal, Ghorwada, Rampura and Rawal and Thakor communities of Nawa village joined Ramdevji’s chariot from Rupal on Friday and 50 walkers along with 35 Nejas covered the daily distance of 60 km in a 650 km walk from Rupal to Ramdevada organized by Rupal Ramdevji Yuvak Mandal from Rupal village of Himmatnagar taluk. It will reach Ramdevda in 11 days after cutting the investment. So the foot walk has been held for the last 10 years. All addicts join the journey. Five people are de-addictioned every year, also witnessed by the villagers a month before the Yatra. Takes responsibility for addiction. Babubhai Shivabhai Rawal of Rupal village who is the Social Justice Committee President of Himmatnagar Taluka Rawal Samaj. He has been running the de-addiction campaign for the last 10 years and said in a telephonic conversation that 27 people have been de-addiction-free so far. So this year also five people were freed from addiction a month ago. This includes three people from Rupal village and two from Ghorwada village.

50 pilgrims have joined this walking association
Those who are freed from addiction have joined the padayatra. De-addiction campaign is done from village to village by bhajan and satsang. The people of Rupal, Ghorwara, Rampura and Nawa villages join together in this addiction free campaign. There are no women in this walking association, only men. In this regard, it was further said that a foot gang has started from Gambhoi, Rupal, Rampur, Ghorwada and Nawa surrounding villages of Himmatnagar taluka on the first day of Shravan month and 50 pilgrims in this foot gang walk 650 kilometers and 60 kilometers per day. Overnight stay with daily bhajan and satsang.
