Google Hangouts Shut Down : Google has announced that it will close its Hangouts this year. The Google Hangouts app was replaced with Google Chat in February 2022, and the company is now preparing to discontinue it altogether. According to a Google blog, Hangouts is scheduled to close in November 2022. All Hangouts users are being transferred to Google Chat. Google also allows Hangouts users to download data.
Google wrote in its blog – People who are using Hangouts in the phone will get a notification to go to the chat app or Gmail from today. Users using the Chrome extension through Hangouts will receive similar notifications. Hangouts web users are also slowly being transferred to Google Chat.
Hangouts launched in 2013 –
The year was 2013. In 2013 Google launched Hangouts as a special feature of Google+ and Google is going to shut down now and completely. In March 2022, in addition to the Google Play Store, Hangouts was removed from Apple’s App Store. However, people who already had this app were still using it. In addition, in November 2021, Google bypassed the group video calling feature from Hangouts.
