The next five days will be overwhelming

The meteorological department has forecast five days of heavy rains in Gujarat. Extreme levels of rainfall are expected in South Gujarat, North Gujarat and some parts of Saurashtra. Heavy rains are likely in Narmada, Bharuch, Valsad, Navsari, Dang, Tapi and Surat. So heavy rain is also expected in Ahmedabad. The state may get partial relief from rains after July 15.

The meteorological department has instructed the fishermen not to plow the sea for the next 5 days. The state government has urged the NDRF, SDRF and local bodies to be vigilant in the wake of heavy rains forecast. So when more rain falls, people from low-lying areas are ordered to move to safer places immediately.
