An agreement was reached between the traders and the police administration on Sunday in Bhima town of Rajsamand. Here the market was completely closed since the Udaipur massacre. On Wednesday, some chaotic elements among the protesters attacked the police in protest against the massacre. Constable Sandeep was badly injured in this. After this the police arrested two dozen people. Traders said that the police even arrested innocent people. Due to this, the local traders were closing the market since Wednesday.

The market of Bhim town will be fully opened from Monday. Even till Sunday afternoon, the shopkeepers had not opened shops in the market. The shops in the market remained closed for 5 days without any call. In such a situation, the police and administration officials on Sunday appealed to the traders on loudspeakers to open their shops and cooperate in bringing the atmosphere back on track. The officials of the administration walked around the market and appealed to the people to open shops.

On Sunday afternoon, talks were held between Sub-Divisional Officer Umaid Singh Rajawat and Bhim Deputy Rajendra Singh Rathod and traders regarding the opening of the market. The talks were successful today. Traders agreed upon opening the market. Markets will be fully open from Monday.

The meeting of police, administration and traders was held near Hanuman temple. First Hanuman Chalisa was recited. During the talks, the traders demanded not to arrest innocent people and to conduct a fair investigation. Due to the closure of the market of Bhima town for five days, not only the traders were suffering, but the villagers of more than 200 revenue villages around the area were also deprived of buying essential items.

In Bhima town, there are shops of jewellers, cloth and grocery, apart from shops of daily necessities. People from the surrounding rural areas come here to shop. Bhima town in the Magaranchal hill region is situated on the boundaries of three districts, in which the boundaries of Ajmer, Bhilwara and Pali districts are bordered. This area is Rawat dominated. Most of the youth are serving in the Indian Army.
