Megharaja has been roaming Saurashtra for the last three days. Kodinar and Sutrapada have waterlogged conditions. Megharaja has been raining in different areas of Rajkot district since early this morning. The rivers in Gondal taluka have become Ganditur due to torrential rains. The pool collapsed due to heavy flow in the Fofal river near Jamkandora in Rajkot. Pool breakdown has disrupted vehicular traffic.

Due to heavy rains in Rajkot district, fresh water is flowing in both the rivers. At that time, rivers in Lodhika, Gondal panth in Uparvas became Ganditur due to heavy rains. The bridge over the Fofal river near Jamkandora was washed away by the river. So that the road from Jamkandora to Gondal is closed and the traffic is disrupted. The bridge connected an estimated 10 to 15 villages of Gondal from Jamkandora. Mamlatdar and police officials rushed to the spot following the incident.

The meteorological department has still forecast universal rainfall in the state for the next five days. Particularly heavy rains are forecast in Gir Somnath, Junagadh, Devbhoomi Dwarka and Porbandar in Saurashtra. Heavy rains are also forecast in Navsari, Valsad, Surat, Dang and Tapi in South Gujarat. Fishermen have been warned not to plow the sea for five days.
