Police arrested four accused.
A complaint was registered with the police that four persons kidnapped Soni Praudh and looted Rs 16,500 after taking a silver merchant from Rajasthan as a passenger in a car near Greenland Chowk in Rajkot city. In which the accused freed the businessman near Lothda and escaped leaving the car. On receiving specific information that these accused are in Rajkot, the police arrested four accused and seized 700 rupees out of the 1500 rupees that went into the robbery and conducted further investigation.

The Crime Branch has arrested four persons from Rajkot, Jamnagar, Junagadh and Porbandar based on specific information that the accused are from Rajkot in the case of kidnapping and robbery near Greenland Chowk, Rajkot. While interrogating the accused, their names Himanshu alias Naru Parmar, Khushal alias MLA Raddia, Sumit Saravaiya and Partha alias Bholu Bhojani have been arrested. The police seized 700 rupees out of the 1500 rupees looted from the accused and conducted further investigation.
A Sony businessman filed a complaint in the B Division
According to the police, Satyanarayan Ambalal Soni (age 53), a resident of Raipur village in Rajasthan’s Bhilwara district, filed a complaint at the B Division police station. In which the names of four unknown persons were given as accused. In the police complaint, Soni Praudh, a silversmith, said that after coming to Rajkot for work, he was standing at the Greenland checkpoint on Sunday morning to go to Rajasthan. This time, after Soni Praudh was taken as a passenger by the driver of Ertiga car to Ahmedabad, four persons sitting in the car kidnapped Soni Praudh and kept him in a bind. Soni Praudh called his son Sanjay and called his relatives. 1500 was found in the pocket and a total of 16,500 cash and mobile phones were looted.

After missing the bus to reach Rajasthan from the city’s Greenland junction, the bus was supposed to stop near Limbadi, when a silversmith from Rajasthan was sitting in an Ertiga car from Greenland junction, the four men in it said, ‘You have been kidnapped, fifty thousand if you want to be released. A frightened middle-aged man from Rajasthan called his son and asked for money online. The son reported the incident to his uncle in Rajkot. When Soni Praudh’s relative informed the police, the B Division police traced the mobile and followed the trail of the abductor and the abductors. They found Artiga near Khodiyar Hotel on Gondal Highway. The robbers drove away the car. The police chased the car on a dirt road near Lothda. The robbers fled leaving the car and the abductor.

It is worth mentioning that the arrested accused were four friends and due to the need for money, a plan was made to commit such a robbery in Rajkot. For the robbery, the accused got an Ertiga car from another friend of theirs and later left it behind a petrol pump near Lothda.
