A 26-year-old Indian Navy soldier, Jaiprakash Vishnoi, died after being swept away by a wave of water while doing rescue on the Porbandar coast of Gujarat. The mortal remains of the jawan wrapped in the tricolor were brought from the Military Hospital of Jodhpur to the ancestral Satheran (Fatehsar) village at 11.30 am on Tuesday, where the atmosphere became inconsolable.
When the tricolor was removed from the top of the body in the courtyard of the house, thousands of villagers present shouted slogans of Bharat Mata ki Jai. The place where Jayaprakash used to play in his childhood, when his last journey passed from the same place, the whole village sobbed. After the martyrdom of Jayaprakash, there was no one left in his house except his mother, wife and 2 sisters, then his uncle Rameshwar, Parasaram, Bhallaram, Babulal Dharani gave soil in the cremation.
People gathered in the funeral procession of the jawan, his mortal remains were taken to the crematorium located in Dhani of Fatehsar, where the army personnel saluted the martyr with a guard of honor and the last rites were performed with military honors. Navy officers handed over the uniform, cap and tricolor to the wife of the martyred soldier. Earlier, with the entry of the city, people joined the convoy and reached the village.
300 students showered flowers in the village, after the father’s death in childhood, the only son, Jayaprakash, did his elementary education in the school of Satheran village. After passing the 12th standard, he prepared and joined the Navy in 2015. Now when his body passed through the road in front of the same school, about 300 students of Satheran school stood on both sides of the road and resonated with Jaiprakash Amar Rahe. Along with this, the students also made rangoli, martyr Jayaprakash Vishnoi Amar Rahe on the middle road. During this, many ex-servicemen also reached from far and wide to pay tribute to the Navy jawan.
Mother and wife could not touch Jayaprakash’s body, after the passing of the father, the only son who was educated by mother Pappu Devi as a laborer and he was recruited in the Navy. When the body of the only son was taken to his home in the ancestral village Satheran. Due to the customs of the society, mother Pappu Devi and wife Parthiv could not touch the body. Seeing the son’s last face from a distance of four feet, when he left, every eye became moist.
Crowd gathered in the last yatra: In the last yatra of the martyr, about 2 thousand students from 6 schools of Alay, Satheran and other villages participated. At the same time, thousands of people from about 20 villages also participated.
