In Vadodara, a girl from Sejpura village died due to lack of timely treatment when the roads were washed away

Vadodara: Due to heavy rain in Dabhoi taluk of Vadodara, roads have been washed away due to heavy rain, so many villages have become unconnected. In such a situation, the daughter of a tribal family of Sejpura village had to lose her life due to the lack of primary health facilities.
A 16-year-old daughter of a tribal family of Sejpura village was sick and had to be taken to a hospital in the neighboring village due to non-availability of medical facilities in the village. After that, many difficulties were faced in taking the dead body to the village due to the overflowing water.
According to the information received, Renuka Vasava, who was studying in Std-10 of a tribal family in Sejpur village of Dabhoi taluka of Vadodara district, was ill for two days. As there was no primary health center in the village, the family members took him in a rickshaw to the government hospital in Karwan village, but due to heavy rains, the area was flooded. The family then left for Karwan through Chatral village, but due to water on the roads of Chatral village, the family took their sick daughter from Mandala village to Karwan. Renuka died on the way before the family could take her to the hospital.

The ambulance driver refused to take the body to the village due to the broken road to bring the daughter’s body back to his village Sejpura in the ambulance. Renuka’s mama then arranged for a private vehicle. The driver also refused to go to the village. So the uncle was forced to carry his niece’s body to the village with his own hands.

The family and the village are in mourning after the death of their teenage daughter.
The government’s poll on excellent health facilities and development in the state has been exposed. The teenager could have survived if she had received timely first aid, but the government’s negligence has taken its toll.
