IND Vs ENG / Suryakumar Yadav's century goes awry, India lose in final T20 match

The third and final formal match of the T20 series between India and England was played today in Nottingham in which England won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 215 against which India could only manage 198 runs. Team India player Suryakumar Yadav scored a century in a banging innings, though the Team India match was lost. With this, India has won the series 2-1.

Suryakumar Yadav batted aggressively and scored 117 off 55 balls. On the other hand, players including Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, Rohit Sharma could not do anything special. India’s top order was failing with Rishabh Pant (1), Virat Kohli (11) and captain Rohit Sharma (11) assembling the pavilion cheaply.

The highest run-scorer for England was David Malan, who hit 77 off 39 balls while Liam Livingstone hit 42 off just 29 balls. Ravi Bishnoi and Hershal Patel took 2-2 wickets for Team India.

Notably, the match was played yesterday in which India scored 170 runs from the first innings against which the England team was bowled out for only 121 runs. With this victory, India captured the series.
