Mohali District Administration has taken action on Down Town Overseas located in Phase 3B2.
The license of the Consultancy and Coaching Institute of IELTS firm, Down Town Overseas, located in Phase 3B 2 of Punjab’s Mohali district, has been suspended for 90 days. This action has been taken under the Punjab Travels Professional Regulation Act, 2012. Mohali’s Additional District Magistrate Amaninder Kaur Brar has taken this action against IELTS Institute. This coaching center is on the second and third floor of SCF number 31 of Phase 3B2.
Mohali’s ADC informed that the firm was issued a license for the work of Consultancy and Coaching Institute of IELTS. It was valid till 13 November 2024. After the complaint received against it, information about the clients and the fees collected from them was sought. At the same time, it was said that information about the service provided to the clients should also be provided. This action has been taken due to non-disclosure of information even after a lapse of time. Earlier notice was also issued.

A case was registered against the firm under the Punjab Travel Professionals Act at Mataur police station. This information was shared by the SSP of Mohali with the DC office, after which action was initiated by the department. The ADC said that there has been a contravention of section 6(1)(e) of the Punjab Travel Professional Regulation Act, 2012 on the part of the firm. In such a situation, its license has been suspended for 3 months. The licensee firm has been asked to give its explanation within 15 days. A notice has also been issued for this. It has been asked why its license should not be canceled completely.
