The shots were fired at around 4.30 am on Tuesday outside Cocoa Cafe and Lounge, Sector 11 in Haryana’s Panchkula district. The accused youth has been identified, yet the police have not been able to catch him. Panchkula Sector 5 police station SHO Sukhvir Singh Virk says that raids are being conducted to nab the accused. The friend of the accused and a bouncer were injured in the firing. The accused was identified from the CCTV footage.

According to the information received, the accused is Mohit, a resident of Ludhiana district of Punjab. He came to the club with three friends. He had a girl with him. According to the CCTV footage, Mohit is seen coming outside the club along with his female friend at around 4.40 am. He then takes out the pistol and fires. The bullet accidentally hits the leg of his acquaintance. After that he fires two at someone.

Naresh Sharma, a bower who was preventing Mohit from entering the club, was also injured in the firing. He has got a deep cut in his left hand. Panchkula Sector 5 Police Station is investigating the case. A case has been registered on the complaint of the bouncer. Police also recovered two shells from the spot. At the same time, the team of Excise Department also reached the spot. In this case, Panchkula Police has registered two cases, the investigation of which is going on.

A case has been registered against the accused assailant under sections of the attempt to murder and Arms Act. On the other hand, another case has been registered against the owner of this nightclub, who kept the club open for more than 1 pm.
