New Delhi: Senior BJP leader and Minority Welfare Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi has resigned as Union Minister. Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised him in a cabinet meeting today.
Today is his last day as a Rajya Sabha MP. The BJP has not sent Naqvi to the Rajya Sabha this time. It is believed that the BJP will hand over a big responsibility to him. It is said that he could be the party’s vice-presidential candidate.
After the cabinet meeting, Naqvi called on BJP national president JP Nadda. There was no official word on what the two leaders discussed during the meeting.
