In the wake of the June 10 violence in the capital, and tomorrow’s Eid al-Adha, security in other areas including the capital has been beefed up. Along with this, soldiers have also been deployed around religious places.

On Friday evening, the district police conducted a flag march in the main road. In which a large number of soldiers marched on foot from Ratan Talkies Choke to Firayalal Chowk. SSP Surendra Kumar Jha and SP Anshuman Kumar held a meeting in this regard and directed the soldiers to be ready to deal with any situation. An incident like June 10 should not be repeated. Guidelines have also been given in this regard. Areas of the capital where security cover has been increased include Doranda, Argora, Karbala Chowk, Mallah Toli, Vikrant Chowk etc. Apart from this, the police are also keeping a close watch in Hind Generation, around Ekra Masjid, Urdu Library and Bada Talab areas. There are a total of 56 mosques in Ranchi, of which the Iqra Masjid is considered to be the most prominent. In all these mosques, the timing of Eid-ul-Azha prayers has also been fixed and people have been informed. Along with this, an appeal has also been made to celebrate the festival in an atmosphere of harmony.
