Rathyatra 2022 : Bhupendra Patel, CM of Bhagwan Jagannathji Rathyatra in Ahmedabad (CM Bhupendra Patel) Jah Pahind will perform the ritual. He performed the Pahind ritual of Rathyatra for 12 years from 2002 to 2013. Apart from this, former Chief Ministers of Gujarat Keshubhai Patel, Chhabildas Mehta, Suresh Mehta, Shankarsinh Vaghela, and Anandibahen Patel have been made to wear the Rathyatra. In which former CM Keshubhai Patel has also performed Phind ritual 5 times. Anandibahen Patel, as the Chief Minister, inaugurated the Rathyatra three times. While Vijay Rupani as the CM has also performed the Pahind ritual of Rathyatra 5 times. Also, this year, CM Bhupendra Patel will not be able to perform the rite of passage as he is suffering from corona. It has not been officially announced who will perform the Pahind ritual of Rathyatra in his place.
