The state government has removed all restrictions on the construction of Ganesh idols. This means that now there is no restriction on the height and length of the idols of Lord Ganesha. Last year, due to the Corona period, the height of the idol was limited in the installation of Ganesh in public places and private homes during Ganeshotsav. The height of Ganesh idols in public places was restricted to 4 feet and the height of idols installed in homes was restricted to 2 feet.
Central Pollution Control Board rules will continue to apply
As per the state government, the restrictions related to COVID-19 are not applicable after March 31, 2022. Therefore, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has taken this decision regarding Ganeshotsav. However, the guidelines issued by the Central Pollution Control Board regarding the construction and immersion of Ganesh idols will continue as before.
