A meeting of Akhil Bharatiya Machimar Mahamandal was held at Kharwa Samajani Wadi in Veraval under the chairmanship of President Kishorebhai Kuhada. In which the fishing community living in the coastal area of 1600 km of the state is being seen devastated for the last 3 years due to the Corona period, the impact of storms and the rising diesel prices as well as the payment involved in the exported fish. Also, this society, which pays crores of foreign exchange to the country, is sitting expectantly with the government.
President Kishore Kuhada, former director of Gujarat Maritime Board, leader of Kharwa Fishermen Society has made several written and oral presentations to Fisheries Ministers, Chief Ministers, Prime Ministers, etc. Only time is given. The pending questions were discussed in this meeting.
Also, as this matter was not suitable, it was considered to go to Gandhinagar and the higher level of Gujarat Fishermen’s Representative Board.
