Sri Lanka Political Crisis: The Rashtrapati Bhavan of any country is considered to be the safest place. Some parts of the Rashtrapati Bhavan can be visited with permission but going to special areas of the Rashtrapati Bhavan is not easy for every citizen. But the Rashtrapati Bhavan is now a popular destination in India’s neighboring country, Sri Lanka.

Sri Lankan President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa fled the country yesterday amid economic crisis and protesters seized the Rashtrapati Bhavan. Many videos of this whole incident are currently going viral on social media.

Video of a young man counting rupee goes viral
Protesters who attacked the residence of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on Saturday amid Sri Lanka’s worst economic crisis have found a treasure trove of rupees from the building. According to a local media report, the protesters who reached the Rashtrapati Bhavan received several rupees from the Rashtrapati Bhavan. A video of a young man counting the money received from Rashtrapati Bhavan has also come to light. As can be seen in the video, a young man is counting money and the protesters are taking a video and a photo of a bundle of rupees.

The user who tweeted the video wrote that the people who calculated the amount from the Rashtrapati Bhavan in Sri Lanka have claimed that they have calculated 17.8 million rupees. Sri Lanka’s current Chief of Defense Staff (CDS) General Shavendra Shilwa has appealed to the protesters to maintain peace to maintain security.
