Talati Kam Ministers also presented to Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel’s government the unresolved issues raised during the rule of former Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. However, 9500 Talatis have threatened to go on an indefinite strike from August 2 if the issues are not resolved by August 1.
The Gujarat State Talati-Mantri Mahamandal has demanded that Talati-cum-Ministers should count 5 years of fixed-salary employment consecutively. Earlier, a meeting was held with Finance Minister Kanu Desai on May 4, 2022, but no solution has been reached. After being upgraded to the post of Circle Inspector Class-III as Extension Officer, he sought to condone that he did not get the first and second higher pay scales and to cancel the examination to get him in the first higher pay scale. The Talatis have also demanded additional compensation when they are assigned the work of other departments besides the Panchayat department.
