Teesta Setalvad Case, SIT Claims That Teesta Twice Took Lakhs Of Rupees From Congress President's Adviser

Testa Setalvad case: There has been a big revelation in the Teesta Setalvad case. Teesta Setalvad has applied for bail in the Ahmedabad Sessions Court in the false affidavit case. Teesta took lakhs of rupees twice from the Congress President’s adviser
In the affidavit filed by the SIT probing the case against Teesta’s land application, the SIT has claimed that Teesta accepted money from the political adviser of the then president of the All India Congress Committee, which is also mentioned in the affidavit. It is also claimed to be a proof and witness that Teesta Setalvad accepted money in the circuit house from the then political advisor of the Congress President.

Representation in affidavit not to grant bail
The SIT has claimed in the affidavit before the court that there was an attempt to make political bread by defaming Gujarat and the then Chief Minister of Gujarat. The SIT has submitted that the investigation into Teesta Setalvad’s role in the matter is at a delicate stage and has submitted in the affidavit that the accused would not be granted bail as it could intimidate witnesses and destroy evidence.

He was arrested on June 25
A Gujarat ATS team arrested Teesta Setalvad and former IAS officer RB Sreekumar on June 25. After the Ahmedabad Crime Branch registered a complaint, former DGP of Gujarat RB Sreekumar was summoned to the Crime Branch and questioned. He was arrested after interrogation. Teesta Setalvad was arrested from her home in Juhu, Mumbai.
