After this, the trio attacked Karan and his friend Rajat. In the attack, the trio badly cut Karan Mohammad with sharp weapons, while his friend was badly beaten with an iron rod and also cut with sharp weapons.
The attackers fled from the spot after beating them both. When people saw both the injured there, they were immediately taken to the hospital. In view of his critical condition in the government hospital, Rajat was sent to a private hospital in Phagwara, while football player Karan Mohammad was also referred from Phagwara and sent to a private hospital in Jalandhar. Where Karan died. Rajat’s condition also remains critical in the hospital.
Relatives said – will not hand over until the killers are caught
Meanwhile, the family members of 23-year-old football player Karandeep alias Karan Mohammad have refused to hand over the dead body. He said that he would not hand over Karan’s body till the police arrest the killers. He said that there is a situation of hooliganism in the area and people are being lynched openly. The deceased Karan Mohammad was the only son of his parents.
