NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu has won the presidential election. He has been declared the President after the third round of counting. 50 percent of the total votes are required to become President, but Murmoo is reported to have received 72 percent of the votes. Even before Murmu's victory, the state level minister of the central government S. P. Baghel wished Draupadi Murmu.
Vigorous celebrations are being held at the BJP headquarters. Draupadi Murmu has so far received the support of 104 MLAs and 17 MPs through cross voting. So far, 104 MLAs from 16 states have cross-voted and voted for Murmu.
