On Monday, people created a ruckus when there was a fraud in two travel agencies of Jalandhar. After this, a travel agent was arrested by the police while the owner of another travel agency ran away from the office before the police arrived.
Both these EC Global and Open Visa travel agencies were operating illegally without a license. Here people created a lot of ruckus when there was a fraud regarding visa, the information of this reached the police as well. The police arrested his agent after a delay but raided an EC Global and took him to the police station. Whereas those with Open Visa have escaped after locking their office.
Rachpal Singh of Nawanshahr told that he had applied for Malaysia visa. But the agent handed him a fake visa. When he came to the agent and said that he would complain to him, he said that he will send you to Malaysia. But till now no visa has been issued.
A person named Suraj, a resident of Basti Bawa Khel, said that he had paid money to go to Romania. But for the last one-and-a-half years, he has been making rounds of the office but he is not being caught in any way. Sometimes it is being said that they will get it installed soon and sometimes they are saying that there is some technical problem. He said that if the visa is not available, then he should return their money. When they tell the police about the complaint, they start threatening them.
After creating a ruckus in both the offices, the people gathered marched towards the Police Commissioner’s office. People said that they are going to the police commissioner to complain about these thugs.

In Open Visa, people are coming and fighting that either get them visa or return their money. Those who were given Monday’s time, they further got to read the notice on the shutter that someone has died in the house, the office will be closed till Thursday. Now the office will open on Friday. People gathered outside Open Visa told that they have been cheated. Neither money is being returned to them nor visa is being given to them.
