- Significant increase in railway revenue on Mumbai-Pune and Mumbai-Kokan route
The train’s Vistadome coach on the Konkan route, including the Mumbai-Pune route, has been receiving a strong response from commuters. The Vistadome coach has received 100 percent response in the period April to June 2022. Due to this, Central Railway has got good revenue. Even in the month of July, the response to the Stadom coaches is overwhelming.
Pragati Express Vistadome coach launched from July 25 has received 93 per cent response from Pune, Central Railway informed. Vistadome coaches have been attached to Mumbai to Pune Deccan Express, Deccan Queen and Mumbai to Madgaon Janashtabdi Express. The passenger capacity of a coach is 40.
This glass-roofed bin has been receiving a huge response for the last three to four years. The coach has many features like wide windows, LED lights, superior seating arrangement, GPS system, LED screen, wide sliding doors for the disabled. Shivaji Sutar, Chief Public Relations Officer, Central Railway informed that Deccan Express received 90 to 100 per cent response, Deccan Queen 99 to 100 per cent and Janshatabdi Express 97 to 107 per cent response during April to June 2022 period.
The highest response has been received in the month of June. There is a good response in July as well. Central Railway started Pragati Express on Mumbai-Pune route from July 25, closed during Corona. Vistadome coaches have been attached to this train. On Monday, 41 out of 44 seats were reserved in the Vistadome coach of the train coming from Pune to Mumbai.
How much revenue did you get?
Due to Vistadome coaches, Central Railway has got a good amount of revenue. Vistadome coach of Janshatabdi Express earned 1 crore 71 lakh 72 thousand 106 rupees, Deccan Queen Express 68 lakh 75 thousand 763 rupees and Deccan Express 62 lakh 51 thousand 415 rupees.
