Militant Sanjay Prajapati surrendered before Palamu DIG Rajkumar Lakra at Latehar SP office.
Impressed by the new direction of surrender and resettlement policy of the state government, the Sub-Zonal Commander of JJMP with a reward of two lakhs surrendered on Saturday. Militant Sanjay Prajapati has surrendered before Palamu DIG Rajkumar Lakra in Latehar SP office. His wife and a five-year-old son were also present during the surrender. After the surrender, DIG Rajkumar Lakra, Superintendent of Police Anjani Anjan, Commandant of CRPF 214th Battalion Rishiraj Sahai welcomed them with bouquets and shawls.
Along with this, a prize money of Rs 2 lakh was also given. DIG Rajkumar Lakra said that Sanjay Prajapati has surrendered due to the tireless efforts of CRPF officials and Latehar SP. This is a big deal for the police officers. He said that the Naxalites who have left the mainstream have gone to the world of crime. He should take advantage of the surrender policy run by the government and return to the mainstream.
The JJMP Naxalite organization has suffered a great loss due to Sanjay’s surrender, he said. SP Anjani Anjan said that whatever militants have gone into the world of crime. If he is returning to the mainstream, he will be welcomed, otherwise he may even die in police action.
